We noticed too many internet marketing beginners are not good at this aspect and do not choose the proper keywords for their PPC campaign. They will end up having to pay more while not reaping good results. Let's take a look at one example. If you are marketing on PLR software, a natural keyword to use would probably be "PLR products" or "PLR". But if a person search those keywords looking for PLR articles, to find only software, they probably won't stay and look at your website, needless to say get a sale from them. SO you need to know who you want to attract, and choose the keyword most relevant to their search. The next area that most marketers neglect is the geographical region of the promotion. Because sometimes it is not a good idea to expose your advertisement to all the different geographical regions. You have to note that the world consist of different cultures, religions, preference and taste. You can't expect that your product suit all of them. If you don't narrow down your geographical region, you will get traffic from people that are not your target market. Thus you end up paying more for lesser sales conversion. Of course another point to take note is how much to bid per keyword and the positions you should bid to. Many newbie marketers think that they have to be position at the number one position to be effective. The truth is that, the first is not necessary the best position you want to be in if you are selling products. Why? Because people looking for products will tend to compare, so after looking through the first few sites in the first few positions, they will realize that the products and prices are similar, and they will make their purchase at the later positions. As a guide, the 3rd-7th position generally fare better. It is a know fact that PPC can lead the most targeted traffic to your website. But if without proper knowledge and preparation, PPC can also fail. It is therefore important that you learn and study more about PPC before venturing into it.
