When you first start your Pay Per Click campaign, in order to do it right and effective, you must start know and understand your goals and aim with your PPC campaign. I know this may sound very "elementary", but you have to identify exactly your goals if you want to ensure proper PPC campaign management.

Are you trying to build a list? Make sales? Are you monetizing your website? These are all fair questions to ask regarding PPC management.

1. The first and most important question to ask yourself to management your PPC campaign well is to know how much you can spend or able to afford. A good starting step is to do testing and try making a few sales, and then you will be able to determine a more accurate conversion rate.

If you do this and calculate a 2% conversion rate on a $30 product, then you should know that you can spend 50 cents per click and still make a $10 profit. Now, you probably would not want to cut it that close, and would want to keep your costs around 30 cents per click in this case.

2. The next thing you need to do to ensure better results a from your PPC campaign is to use more targeted keywords for your advertisement. Though there are many software that claim can help you choose your keyword, i feel that the best tool is your common sense!

Well, a tip for you. For every keyword that you have chosen, make you put them in brackets so it becomes an exact match. Then, you have to ask yourself whether you or prospects would "google" that particular keyword to buy your product or service. Very often from my experience, once you look at your website or blog from the prospects' or the customers' point of view, it really can help you solve problems.

3. Always test and retest. You should always be striving to have a successful AdWords campaign, and when you reach a level that you are satisfied with leave it alone. There is no point in potentially damaging a profitable campaign if you are satisfied with the current results.

One word of caution: In order to manage your PPC campaign effectively, you must not only be prepared to put in hard work, you have to put in that bit of common sense and get some help from people around you who knows what they are talking about.
